Soundbites No. 3

I haven't posted any new music in awhile, but here are a few tracks that I've been obsessing over the last few months. They are all a bit sad and sallow -- so perfect for chilling out and relaxing. The first single by Graffiti6, which I first heard on the TV series Elementary, is amazing.

If you are a fan of AMC's The Walking Dead, the last part of Ed Sheeran's Give Me Love should sound familiar.

What?!? Listen and find out.

I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend!

New Music: Twenty One Pilots

TwentyOnePilots
TwentyOnePilots2

I've been having a grand time lately discovering lots of new (to me, at least) music. Ever since iTunes started becoming available, I have been browsing through a seemingly endless catalogue of fresh tracks every week.

One of the bands that caught my attention recently was Twenty One Pilots. I came across one of their songs by accident and got completely won over! You can find out more about this duo here.

Michael Rune } Væk I Natten (Featuring Cecilie Fleur)

I have no f*cking clue what this song is all about but I must admit the beat is catchy.  Anyone know what language this is? I suspect it's Danish.

Enjoy the weekend!

Please Don't Talk -- Chungking
Limbs -- Widowspeak
In The Deep -- Bird York
The Wilhelm Scream -- James Blake
One More Day -- Vast

Skinny Love -- Birdy
Video Games -- Lana Del Rey
Kissing -- Bliss

SBTRKT } Hold On

Pronounced "subtract", SBTRKT is a DJ and producer based out of the UK. This was one of the more unique sounds I've heard in a long while and I thoroughly enjoyed his refreshing take on tribal music. I hope you guys like it.

M83 } Midnight City

I thought it was but fitting to mark my return with a music post. This blog started out several years back as a way to keep track of my changing tastes in music.

And it continues to evolve.

When I first heard this song I wasn't certain if M83 was the title or the artist (answer: the artist) but I sure was hooked. It turns out he is a (mostly) one-man electronica band from France. His current album, Hurry Up, We're Dreaming, is the biggest by far in his six-CD career.

I LOVE this song, and the video is not so bad either.

Take a listen.
